[Audio] ABOUT JAGGANATH TEMPLE HISTORY AND LOCATION:- The present temple was built from the 10th century onwards, The work was begun by Ananta Varman Chodaganga Deva, the first king of the Eastern Ganga dynasty It is an important Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a for of Sri Krishna It is located in Puri , inn the state of Odhisa, on the eastern coast of India Structure:- The temple covers an area of over 4,00,000 square feet and is surrounded by a high fortified wall This 20feet high wall is known as Meghanada Pacheri. Another wall which is known as Kurma Bedha surrounds the main temple it contains at least 120 small temples.

[Audio] Important Festivals: Ratha yatra It is most significant of all festivals of Jagannath it is known as ' Juggernaut' in English Hera Panchami-It is the ritual of Maa Mahalaxmi. It is celebrated just after few days of Ratha Yatra..

[Audio] MYSTERIES OF JAGANNATH TEMPLE Birds and planes do not fly above the Jagannath Temple! -There is a religious believe, that the mythical bird of Lord Jagannath Garuda sits inside the temple and that is why no other birds dare to fly around the Temple. -But According to Science, there is formation of eddies by the sea wave. Birds face resistance to fly in that area because of eddies and hence they try to avoid flying around the temple. -And, The area around the Puri Jagannath Temple has been declared as the No-Fly Zone. Hence, It is illegal to fly any Plane or Helicopter above the Jagannath Temple.

[Audio] No shadow of the Jagannath Temple The reason of such phenomenon is that the temple is engineered in such a way that shadow of the temple fall only on the temple, which isn't visible from the Ground.

[Audio] MYSTERY OF SIMHADWARAM The main door of entrance to the Jagannath temple is Singhadwaram. While you enter through Singhadwaram, you can clearly hear the sound of waves, but once you passed the Singhadwaram you will no longer hear the sound of waves. You will not hear the sound of waves as long as you are inside the temple. The simplest explanation to this phenomenon is that, the Singhadwaram does not allow the sounds of the sea waves to get passed through it..

[Audio] SUDARSHAN CHAKRA The Sudarshan chakra was a miracle. No matter where you stand in puri, The Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Jagannath Temple that sits at top of the temple will face you. The Sudarshan chakra is 20 feet tall and weighs above a ton Its another mystery that how such heavy chakra is placed. In ancient time when there was no machine was not available at that time.

[Audio] THE FLAG MOVES IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF WIND The flag on top of the Temple has been observed to breeze in the opposite direction of wind The reason for this is because of Eddies, which changes the direction of the flag.
