[Audio] An Electro-cardiogram (E C G ) is a diagnostic tool used to record the electrical activity of a person's heart. It contains three components which track the electrical activity as the heart pumps blood: the P-wave, the QRS Complex, and the T-Wave. The P-wave corresponds to the atrial depolarization, the electrical message that tells the atria to contract and push blood into the ventricles. The QRS Complex follows and is associated with the ventricles depolarizing, meaning that the electrical message is sent to them to contract and pump blood throughout the body. Lastly, the T-Wave is the third component of the cycle and corresponds to the electrical message that tells the ventricles to re-polarize..

[Audio] The electro-cardiogram (ECG) is a diagnostic tool used to measure electrical activity of the heart. It is possible to observe the P wave, the fastest type of seismic wave and the first to arrive at the seismic station or sensor, with this tool. This wave is created by the contraction of the atrium and is able to travel through the interior body. Knowing the components and their functions of ECGs can aid medical professionals in diagnosing heart rhythm problems..

[Audio] The electrocardiogram (E C G) is a graphical representation of the electrical activity of the heart and the slide we are looking at illustrates it. It is composed of several waves, the most prominent being the QRS complex. The Q wave is the first negative deviation, followed by the R wave which is a positive or upward deviation and the S wave which is the following negative deflection..

The QRS complex is the ventricular contraction (systole) consisting of the Q wave, which is the first negative deviation, followed by the R wave, a positive (upward) deviation. Any negative deflection following immediately after the R portion is termed the S wave.

[Audio] The T wave is an important component of the electro-cardiogram, or ECG for short. It indicates when the ventricles of the heart have been fully repolarized, which is shown by the apex of the T wave. The interval between the start of the QRS complex and the apex of the T wave is known as the absolute refractory period. Additionally, the last half of the T wave is referred to as the relative refractory period or vulnerable period..

[Audio] Cleaning the ECG machine and its accessories regularly is the first important step for its proper maintenance and functioning. Secondly, check the machine for any loose connections or wires, as well as for any signs of wear and tear. Thirdly, look for any signs of corrosion, overheating, electrical interference, software, or hardware malfunction. All these steps will ensure a safe and reliable ECG machine..

1. Clean the ECG machine and its accessories regularly. 2. Check the ECG machine for any loose connections or wires. 3. Check the ECG machine for any signs of wear and tear. 4. Check the ECG machine for any signs of corrosion. 5. Check the ECG machine for any signs of overheating. 6. Check the ECG machine for any signs of electrical interference. 7. Check the ECG machine for any signs of software or hardware malfunction.

Calibration is used to check the accuracy of the ECG machine and its accuracy is essential in monitoring a patient's heart rate. Parameters are used to adjust the settings of the machine and can vary depending on the patient, their condition and the type of ECG being conducted..
