[Audio] Introduction Risk and Sustainability, as functional lead, has reviewed and issued Rev 5 (2026) of the 32‑727 SHEQ Policy to ensure alignment with internal and external requirements, international ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), and continual improvement in providing a safe, healthy, compliant, and sustainable business management system for Eskom. The 2025 revisions introduce additional requirements emphasizing ESG integration, operational safety, system interoperability, and extended governance over third-party partnerships Definitions Only catered for the term “contractors” Definitions External Service Provider The emphasis of the New SHEQ policy is the creation of an equipotential zone, which is a work area where all conductive surfaces are at the same electrical potential, minimizing the risk of electric shock. While giving consideration to the strategic direction and context of the organisation; the SHEQ policy and SHEQ objectives might be established or reviewed during routine meetings of top management, such as those for strategic planning or management review purposes; The Eskom Holding Company should : establish a SHEQ policy that outlines its commitment to SHEQ. This policy should be communicated to all subsidiaries and form the basis for setting SHEQ objectives.
