In South Africa 85% of the electricity generated is from coal which causes a massive release of air pollutants Industrial emissions, vehicle exhaust, and the lack of thorough enforcement of environmental laws contribute to high levels of air pollution in urban areas. This affects human health and contributes to climate change..
