Scene 1 (0s)

My Inner Child’s Favorite Cartoon Character; TWILIGHT SPARKLE.

Scene 2 (7s)

As a child, I had a lot of favorite cartoon characters. Those characters are either from the famous show of Winx Club, My Little Pony and classical Barbie movies such as “Barbie as the Island Princess” or “Barbie and the Diamond Castle”. If I need to pick someone as my inner child’s favorite cartoon character, it will be the center and main character of My Little Pony, Twilight Sparkle. Even though she is the center character of the show and instead of being favored, this character is disliked by the majority of the MLP community. How come I picked her as my inner child’s favorite cartoon character? Simply because I relate to her too much or became attached to her character and persona. Twilight is not like any other main characters, she is her own person or should I say pony, she makes mistakes and learn from it in order to not make the same mistake again..

Scene 3 (17s)

I picked Twilight as my favorite because while some people view the term “main character” as a perfect and good role model, I view main characters as the imperfect living being that have their own flaws and I see Twilight as the best example of a main character. Twilight is a unicorn and the student of the Princess Celestia. She is studying about friendship and learning about friendship isn’t easy for her as she wasn’t really sociable when she was younger. As her studying goes on, she met ponies that slowly became her forever friends. The ponies that she befriended are Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinky Pie and Fluttershy . Friends are the people that you trust and like but for Twilight Sparkle friends are those people that she cherishes and treat them as her own family..

Scene 4 (21s)

I’ve really liked Twilight since the first time I watch the movie “My Little Pony: Equestria Girls” and as I began to watch the MLP series, my admiration and love for Twilight grew bigger. There are also other reasons why I like her so much; she is a pony that take things seriously and does everything in her magic to look out for her friends and make sure they are happy. I also like how she want to push pass her limits and how she tends to be logical in solving problems instead of relying on her instinct..

Scene 5 (48s)

Along her journey as she learns about friendship, she faced challenges that required the helps of her friends in order to go through it. With the challenges came stress and hardship. Due to the challenges that she is facing, she made mistakes and an argument started between her and her friends. Instead of getting irritated and hating her character like what most people did, I instead saw this as a chance for her character to develop and make up for the mistakes that she did. Challenges meant hard times but for me, challenges are one of the sources of character development..

Scene 6 (1m 16s)

In one episode in the MLP series, Twilight’s friends faced a major problem that included forgetting their true identity and passion. Twilight felt horrible thinking that she caused the problem and wouldn’t be able to get her friends back but with the help of her friend Spike, she eventually found a way to solve the problem..

Scene 7 (1m 35s)

After solving the problem, Twilight met Celestia, her teacher, and together they recapped the memories Twilight made on her study of friendship. Twilight then became an alicorn and being an alicorn means you become a princess..

Scene 8 (1m 49s)

From that fateful day, Twilight is given the honorable title “Princess of Friendship”. In my perspective Twilight rightfully deserve being the princess of friendship as she is the root of her group’s friendship, the reason why her friend group was created and remained strong even though they faced major disagreements and faced countless problems..

Scene 9 (2m 8s)

To sum this all up, she is my inner child’s favorite because of how her character was written and how her character differs from the usual “perfect main character”. By learning more about her, you can see that she may not be the best center but she is a good and well written character. Twilight Sparkle is my preferred character because she is a good daughter, a good sister, a good princess and most of all she is a good friend..
