[Audio] Why is the festival celebrated ?It is celebrated because Allah has rewarded Muslim a day of joy and happiness after fasting for 30 days( Ramadhan). Eid ul-Fitr is a very important festival in the Islamic calendar and was first celebrated by our Last Prophet Muhammad ( Peace Be Upon Him) and his companions. Eid ul Fitr takes place on the first day of the tenth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, and Muslims are not permitted to fast on that day..

[Audio] How is Eid celebrated It is customary to wear a new outfit on Eid-ul-Fitr. Families share gifts with their loved ones. Before Eid prayers, every Muslim donate charity ( Zakat al-Fitr) to help feed the poor. On this day of joy and happiness people prepare special food and share it with their family and friends. Eid prayers are performed early morning in Halls, Masjid or Open Fields..
