What is the role of HI in implementing the fifo method correctly. What are do's and don'ts that you need to take care of. And lastly understanding what the 5 seconds method is..

On Time Delivery fifo method helps in proper sorting and segregation of shipments which in ahead helps delivering shipments on time without any pendency or delay. 2. Reduce Escalations fifo helps in reducing customer or client escalations as shipments will have on time delivery without any delay. 3. Customer Delight Customer delight is highly valuable and proper movement of shipments from hub to customer locations results in customer satisfaction. 4. Achieve D1 99% If there is proper implementation of fifo within the hub there is a chance to achieve 99% D1..

[Audio] Let us understand how fifo is implemented: There are four important metrics in implementing fifo. Primary Sorting Secondary Sorting Handling UD (that is Undelivered shipments) Managing Inventory.

[Audio] First let us see what sorting process exactly means. Sorting is the process of arranging or segregating shipments according to the below requirements: Sorting are of two types: 1. Primary Sorting In this all the shipments are scanned and segregated in Pin code wise bins..

[Audio] 2. Secondary Sorting When sorting of shipments is done as per the routes it is known as secondary sorting. It is important to keep in mind that Shipments are to be put in three different bins that is Fresh shipments The shipments which are received on the same day and next is Critical Shipments The shipments which were not delivered on previous days for any particular reason. Reattempt Shipments Note that it is important to scan and create a runsheet for critical shipments and mark them for O-F-D--. Only after this you should move to the fresh shipments..

Set in order is the process of organizing the materials & shipments in the designated area. The area needs to be labelled & the shipments to be kept/arranged in those area.
