“This is the story of how my daughter Liz’s car accident from texting while driving has changed our lives forever. If you get a text, don’t look at it while you’re driving. It’s not worth it. Liz Marks said that she was on her way home when she was involved in an accident caused because she was reading a text while driving. The wreck left her blind in one eye and hard of hearing. It also left her with a diminished sense of smell and she is no longer able to create tears or fall asleep without medication. She says the most difficult part of all of it, was going from being very social and popular to being alone, without friends. At the end of the day she lost everything all for a few words that she thought meant more than her safety she'll never be the same, she'll never fall asleep peacefully, she will never be the normal and all because of a pour choice in doing what your want and what's right.

Scene 16 (5m 11s)

A year ago on February 19, My life was completely changed, while walking to my bus stop I was hit by a truck from behind going 50 km/ph in a 30 km/ph zone, the driver was also texting. I never saw or heard the truck coming... and after that day I've never been the same. I suffer from Post- Concussion Syndrome a Brain Injury,PTSD and seizures. This morning when you get up and start your car remember that your safety and the safety of others is the only importance when you're behind the wheel If you're running late there's no need to speed getting to where you need to go safe is more important than getting there on time. You don't see everything around you when you speed and by time you do its too late you've crashed. You or the person you hit could be dead the same goes for those of you who text and drive, drink and drive, or are too tired to be driving if you can't put down that phone,or be completely sober/awake then don't get behind that wheel ,rather its the middle of the day night or morning because life could change for the worse if you do. I lived but not everyone's that lucky please be careful when you drive..
