Despite living in Canada for over 20 years, I struggles with social anxiety and struggles with attention-seeking behaviors. The collectivist heritage influences my identity as a peacemaker, promoting altruistic behaviors towards communal good..

Early developmental years, socioeconomic status, and education also influence our identification with family obligations. Additionally, platonic and romantic connections shape our self-perception, interests, and connections to certain religions or cultures..

[Audio] My family greatly influenced my identity and understanding of myself. I had enjoyable childhood memories, and my parents prioritized work and Christian life. I worked as choir members, leaders, and Bible study leaders. Despite my fond memories, I struggled with the labor of my parents and felt un-assured to start a family. As my siblings grow and have children, my perspective shifted. I now wish to start a family, as I feel most welcomed and accepted within my family..

[Audio] Race, culture, and ethnicity significantly impact our identities, influencing attitudes, behaviors, beliefs, and communication. Our surroundings can either support or reduce pride in these qualities, influenced by our perspectives and behaviors. I experienced racial prejudice at school due to their ethnicity and race. Growing up in a collectivist nation I struggled to express emotions and seek assistance. Despite my collectivist traits, I found Canadian culture and educational practices interesting. The history and education in Korea influenced my learning style, transforming myself from passive to active learners..

[Audio] Hobbies and personal interests shape identity, while careers shape it, with employment uncertainty and success sustaining or challenging one's sense of self. I have a passion for caring for babies and has pursued a career in teaching. I studied hard for a Commerce program at the University of Toronto, but later enrolled in George Brown College's diploma program. I have since worked with children and aim to further their education and enroll in a master's or teacher's college..

Moving to Canada changed my life due to mental health issues like depression and anxiety. Despite these challenges, I maintained trust in God and prayed for help.
