(pause) The focus shifts to using data… interpreting it… monitoring performance… and coordinating services. (pause) And at the strategic level… this includes leaders and decision-makers. (pause) Here, the emphasis is on using data for planning… overseeing digital systems… (emphasize) and understanding opportunities and risks… including AI. (pause) So wherever you are in the system… this course meets you there..

[Audio] Slide 6: Why This Course (1 min — KEY SLIDE) Let's be honest for a moment… (pause — slower tone) Digital health is growing fast across Africa. We have EMRs… DHIS2… mobile apps… and now… even AI. (pause) But there's a big gap… we don't talk about enough. (pause — emphasize) Do health workers actually feel confident using these tools? (pause) In many cases… the answer is no. (pause) About half of frontline health workers… still lack basic digital skills. (pause) So even when systems exist… using them effectively becomes a challenge. (pause) And here's something important… (slight emphasis) Over 90% of facilities report data… but less than half actually use it for decision-making. (pause) The data is there… but it's not turning into action. (pause) At the same time… systems are becoming more complex. Multiple platforms… multiple tools… more expectations. (pause) And now… we add data security… privacy… and AI. (pause) So the challenge is no longer just technology. (emphasize) It's people… having the confidence and capability to use it. (pause) That is why this course matters..

(pause) And finally… we explore artificial intelligence. (pause) What it means… how it's used… and how to engage with it responsibly. (pause) Each step builds on the previous one… (emphasize) helping you grow in confidence… and competence..
