Developmental Therapist Position Working with children ages 0-3 years old Children have either a physical disability, mental disability or a developmental delay Providing developmental therapy services with the children in the natural environment which includes their home, daycare, park, or a relatives home Families are located in the county and area that you live in.

Developmental Therapist Position Developmental therapy consists of Coaching the family together on goals stated on the family support plan For example, if a child is delayed on communication, you will be combining activities to do to increase the child’s communication, such as working on animal sounds or transportation sounds, etc. Services are provided on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis, one hour each session Part time is considered 20-25 families a week; Full time is 25-35 families a week.

Extensive Trainings There will be free online modules that need to be completed in your home or you can come to our office, with a 2 week completion timeframe from the day the email is sent There will also be observation times completed with our training coordinators, where you will attend their families and they will attend with your new families In the observations, trainings will consist of learning how to manage a session, and what a session and documentation looks like Our team meetings are scheduled for every other month.

Additional Information This is a 1099 contracted position, business expenses may be deducted from your taxes, we recommend working with a CPA (certified public accountant) Professional Liability Insurance is required, if you have it we need a copy of the document, if not you will be covered under the agency Background Check is required and may be needed to complete, if not completed already.

Billing / Payment Billing is turned in on a monthly basis, by the 3rd business day of the month by coming into the office for your allotted timeframe. The first 90 days will be in person for billing training, after the 90 days if the billing is correct you may drop off or mail the documentation Billing training also includes software training where you are connected to our software with your own username and password Payment consists of $25.00 per session and $5.00 per travel fee, with the total being $30.00 per session/per family/per authorization time – no mileage is paid so you can include it on your taxes.

Billing / Payment Billing is turned in in the beginning of the month and will be paid the following month (ie. October month children will be turned in the beginning of November and paid the end of December) All payments are paid by direct deposit at the end of each month.
