[Audio] Welcome to Trident and shell confine space attendant Training Slide. Please take note that this training is only applicable to SHELL Bukom only. At the end of this training slide, There is a short question test to test your understanding on being a Confine space attendant. There are a total of 15 question. You are required to answer all the question. To pass the test , you need to have 13 point. You will be notified of the result immediately after the test. Maintain a register of all identified confined spaces at your workplace and label them with prominent signs to prevent unauthorized access. Check with your supervisor on which tank you are working on. Ensure that you are working n the correct tank as inform by SHELL personnel. Number 2: Inform and train employees Inform workers of all confined spaces in the workplace and ensure they are trained on the hazards and conduct risk assessments prior to working in confined spaces. Make sure you have attended the confine space awareness course prior to this. After successfully completing the training a temporary confine space pass will be issued to you. Number 3: Do not enter confined spaces Do not enter or put your head into a confined space. Ensure correct permit is applied and endorsed by SHELL confine space entrant manager(CSEM), Gas test by SHELL AGST and sign of by your company ACS. Only then the tank is safe for entry..

[Audio] Number 4: prevent unauthorized entry Prevent unauthorized workers from entering confined spaces by placing barriers and warning signs and post endorsed entry permits at the entrances of confined spaces. It is the responsibility of the Confine space attendant to Take an active role in evaluating the space prior to entry. It is also important that confine space attendant Alert the attendant of any dangerous situations inside the space. It is the duty of the confine space attendant to Report any emergencies matters in confine space to Company supervisor and inform SHELL Security Emergency (2222). Number 5: log out and tag out Lock out and tag out hazardous equipment in a confined space is to be done by SHELL operation. Just ensure that the necessary equipment or valve has been log out and tag out..

[Audio] Number 6: Test for hazards AGST will be conducting the Test for atmospheric hazards in the Tank using the following order: one: oxygen, two: flammable gases, three: toxic gases or corrosive gases and will determine if the tank is safe to enter. The safe level to enter a tank is between 19.5% to 20.5%. Number 7: identify proper equipment Supervisors have to identify proper equipment and tools and train workers on the proper usage before starting confined space work. Confine space attendant is to ensure the correct equipment is used for working inside the tank. In the event that you are required to don Breathing Apparatus, Ensure worker has attended Breathing apparatus training conducted by Fire department before the worker is deemed fit to enter confine space using breathing apparatus..

[Audio] Number 8: carry a gas detector Confine space attendant is to ensure that all workers carry a personal gas detector when working in confined spaces. He ensure that the correct PPE is worn before workers entering the confine space. Number 9: communication Communication between workers and confined space attendants must be maintained at all times. It is important to know the emergency contact person in case of any emergency happen. In case of any Emergency or CAT b situation, it is the duty of confine space attendant to inform the supervisor or the workers working inside the confine space to assembly at the mustering area..

[Audio] Number 10: Prevent unauthorized entry Prevent unauthorised workers from entering or working in confined spaces. Confine space attendant is to ensure that entrant entering the confine space surrender their Confine space card. Record all entry details such as name: ID number: Time IN and OUT of confine space promptly. It is important for confine space attendant to know how many people are working inside the confine space and making sure the entry detail is tally with the number of entrant. [Audio] Number 12: Evacuate fast Evacuate fast from the confined space if the portable 4 in 1 gas detector alarm goes off. Evacuate the confine space in an orderly manner. Confine space attendant is to ensure that all workers are out of the confine space. Check and ensure the number of people exit tally with the detail list. If anyone is missing or still inside the confine space.Contact you supervisor immediately and contact the emergency service immediately. Number 13: do not attempt self rescue Do not enter the confined space to rescue coworkers on your own. Instead inform the emergency response team immediately and wait for help. You.
