MEASLES SYMPTOMS TYPICALLY INCLUDE
• High fever (may spike
to more than 1040 F)
• Cough
• Runny nose
• Red, watery eyes
• Rash breaks out 3-5
days after symptoms
begin

Prevention • MMR vaccination (in the National Immunisation Programme) • Stay away from friends/ relatives with measles.

Prevention
• MMR vaccination (in the National

Treatment
• Paracetamol to reduce fever and body aches
• Isolation
• Avoid bright light which
hurts the eyes
• Drink plenty ot water
• Take a lot of rest
• Antibiotics are given if the patient
develops otitis media or bacterial
pneumonia
