General Instructions. You’re expected to enter the lecture/tutorial classes on time. (Note that your attendance/quiz in the tutorial classes will be initiated within 5 mins after the start of the tutorial class.) Always use your institute email ID for sending emails to the TAs/instructors/coordinators. Mention your name, entry number, and group ID in the email subject. Contact the tutor of your group for queries related to tutorial questions/doubts etc. Only your tutor will handle the tutorial attendance and the corresponding marks. The course coordinator will NOT entertain any queries in this regard. Contact the course instructor(s) and coordinator if you need any sort of assistance related to the course..
Attendance. Students are expected to follow the institute attendance rules/norms. You are expected to attend all the lectures and tutorials except for health-related issues (where a medical certificate issued by IITD hospital should be provided). If a student’s attendance is less than 75%, the student will be awarded one grade less than the actual grade that the student has earned. For example, a student who has got an A grade but has attendance less than 75% will be awarded an A(-) grade No medical certificate will be considered once the exam is over..
Evaluation. Minor 2hrs 30% Major 2 hrs 35% Tutorial Quizzes 15% Two Common Quizzes 20% Total 100% Doubts in the graded exam papers should be cleared within the provided time frame. If you do not utilize this opportunity within the time frame, no such chance will be offered at the later date and the marks will be frozen. No unfair means (e.g. cheating, proxy attendance in lectures and tutorials) should be adopted in the course. If a student is found to adopt unfair means, the respective student will be subjected to disciplinary committee action as per the institute rules cheating during the exam, along with award of “F” in the course. There will be no Re-Quiz for any of the quizzes (Common + Tutorial) mentioned in the above table. Re-Minor and Re-Major will be carried out as per institute rules..
