[Audio] Chashitsu Tea House. CHASHITSU TEA HOUSE.
[Audio] Tea is the most consumed drink after water. Almost 100 million cups of tea are drunk in the UK daily..
[Audio] So, if that is the case, why are there no tea houses in Bournemouth ?.
[Audio] I want to open a tea house in Bournemouth. Chashitsu Tea House will not only be a place where tea lovers can enjoy a good cup of loose-leaf teas but also a place people can experience afternoon teas and tea ceremonies from around the world. I want to make going to a tea house to have a good cup of tea as popular as going into to a cafe to have a coffee. To begin with we will offer Japanese and English afternoon teas and a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony. We will brew one kind of coffee daily for those non tea drinkers accompanying true tea lovers to the store..
[Audio] The nearest tea house from Bournemouth is more than 20 miles away. In 2020 Bournemouth's of 18 to 60 year olds was over 123 000. That is a large population to target for potential new customers..
[Audio] The nearest tea house that offers a place where customers can enjoy loose-leaf teas is in is 29 miles away. They do not offer afternoon teas or tea ceremonies. There are a number of cafes, tearooms and hotels that offer English afternoon teas, but the tea selection is usually limited and they don't offer any other afternoon tea from other countries...
[Audio] As this is a new business these experts will have to be recruited. Finding Japanese tea ceremony host will be challenging but we could employ a person who could be trained to be one.
[Audio] The most important steps to be taken to go to market is to find an ideal location, purchasing good equipment and source premium loose-leaf suppliers and produce.
[Audio] As this is a new business, we will have to find new customers, this will be done trough a good advertising champagne before the opening The war in Ukraine has interrupted the supply of sunflower oil – could switch to a different product like rapeseed oil Business interruption insurance covers you for loss of income during periods when you cannot carry out business as usual due to an unexpected event, like equipment breaking down..
[Audio] I am a keen amateur cook. Definitely a foodie as I enjoy trying new foods and places to eat. My father was a chef and from an early age I worked and helped out in my parents restaurant..
[Audio] Assumptions: Increase in sales is assumed at 6% per annum Taxes are about 35% of the operating profit The location/ venue cost – Shouldn't go above 15% of your sales projections.
[Audio] Thank you for your time, do you have any questions?.
