The girl does well in class but looks quieter and smaller than her peers. The difficulty occurred to Chen when she had to present her report to the class: Chen showed a strong emotional reaction. The case was assigned to the school psychologist Chelsea, who will have to find an approach to Chen, her parents, and teacher. Chen's situation points to a possible diagnosis of social anxiety disorder (SAD), characterized by intense fear and discomfort in social situations.
