Chandrayan  3   is a planned third lunar exploration mission by the Indian Space Research  Organisation  (ISRO) . Following    Chandrayan  2 , where a last-minute glitch in the soft landing guidance software, another lunar mission for demonstrating soft landing was proposed.

Scene 3

The  lander  for Chandrayaan-3 will have only four throttle-able engines.  Additionally, it’s  lander  will also be equipped with a  Laser Doppler  Velocimeter   (LDV). 	  The mission may include site sampling and lunar night survival technologies.

Scene 4

The launch of spacecraft is scheduled at sometime in first half of 2022. Proposed to be land on south pole of the Moon. Total cost of the project would be around ₹615  crore  (US$86 million).

Scene 5

1.     In 1975, first Indian satellite named  Aryabhata  was launched from Kapustin  Yar  of Russia.  2.     In 1992, ISRO witnessed the successful launch of  India’s first  indigenously-built  INSAT –  2A  3.     In 2001, ISRO successfully launched heavy rocket Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) with GSAT-1 satellite. 4.	In  2008,  Chandrayaan , country’s first unmanned lunar probe was launched by ISRO.  5.     In 2012, ISRO successfully launched the 100th space mission using PSLV-C21 rocket. 6.    In 2013, ISRO successfully launched  Mangalyan In  2014, the  Mangalyaan  successfully entered the Martian orbit, and India became the first country to complete a maiden Mars mission .  On February 15, 2017, India broke the record of Russia by successfully launching 104 satellites of seven countries in one mission.
