EVALUATION REPORT APPLICATION FOR MODIFICATION / ADDITIONAL OFFERING FOR THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL OFFERING APPLIED FOR: Change of Offering from TVL Track- (Cookery/ BPP/ FBS) Strand to Academic Track - Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Strand SCHOOL : Cantipla Integrated School EVALUATION DATE: Februray 23, 2022 OBSERVATIONS: The school currently offering SHS- TVL Track specializing Cookery (320 hrs)/ Bread and Pastry Production (160 hrs)/ Food and Beverage Servicing ( 160 hrs). This offerings really need at least 2 laboratories to house the 3 specializations knowing that each specializations require more equipment and tools. The school provides some of the tools and equipment to be used in the implementation of these 3 course but unfortunately the school cannot allocate enough room for the specializations. And worse thing is the room/ laboratory is divided into 2 to accomodate the laboratory and a lecture room for.
RECOMMENDATION: With the situations mentioned above, the proposal for the change of offerings is commendable due to the following reasons: It opens other options to mountain schools within the catchment area/ clustered area to explore or choose track in the Senior High School other than TVL. If the students really choose to enrol in TVL of the same specialization, they can enrol to Taptap Integrated School or enrol another specialization in Tabunan Integrated School. It also open opportunity to other neighboring schools to enrol HUMSS in this School. The school can accomodate lecture rooms instead of additional TVL laboratory since classrooms can be used maximally with proper scheduling. While TVL Laboratory can only be used during their TVL Specialization schedule. As per checking of requirements for offering HUMSS, they already have Computer Laboratory, Science and Math Laboraty shared with the Junior High School. As to their number of teachers and capability of teachers to handle subjects for the HUMSS courses, they have available teachers to implement the curriculum in HUMSS. The current TVL Teacher can be replaced by the Division Planning Office with a specilaized teacher for HUMSS Track. Thus, the request for change of SHS Track from TVL (Cookery/ BPP/ FBS) – Academic – Humanities and Social Sciences is feasible. The tools and equipment of the TVL Track can be used by the Junior High School for their TLE Grade 9 and 10..
