[Audio] Hi I'm Luis Almodóvar and I will be covering Body Language focusing on Facial Expressions. I would like to apologize for the lack audio, I am currently recovering from a cold and I did not like how I sounded at the end of recording for this presentation..
[Audio] Here we will cover Facial Expressions, understanding them, reading them and using them in our daily lives..
[Audio] Facial Expressions are one of the more important aspects of human communication, it is one of the most important types of nonverbal communication. Our emotions help us relate to the problems we face on a daily, facial expressions help communicate with others without the need to us.
Understanding Facial Expressions. Micro expressions- These expressions happen quickly, almost indiscernible and can reveal if someone is lying or telling the truth..
[Audio] Understanding emotions, generally you can read the emotions from someone you know pretty well. What happens when someone you don't know is experiencing trouble, but refuses to let you know of their hardship? At this moment, you have a choice… you can listen or you can talk. Whichever on you choose, you have to stick with it, that way you will allow the person whom you express your thoughts to, to understand your point and allows for a clearer image of the point you are trying to make. Generally I tend to keep my face relaxed and speak somewhat monotone in order to get my point across, but I try to deliver the same emotions the person I'm speaking to gives me..
[Audio] Ap. Appropriate Use. Matching the same emotions from others facial expressions builds trust, and allows for easier communication..
[Audio] In conclusion, allowing for a better comprehension of facial expression will allow you to understand the person who is in front of you. Reading into the micro expression will help understand the person's intention and you can adjust accordingly based on your feelings. Remember in order to understand the point the person in front of you is presenting, you need to listen and adjust your own facial expressions based on the emotions you receive from them..
[Audio] Thank you for your time, and I wish you have a great rest of your day..
