It is part of Woqod Site Safety management that all Staff, Visitor and Contractors planning to enter Bitumen Plant should undergo site induction before proceeding. [Audio] In 'bitumen facility' we have Bitumen Operations are run from Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC) port area. The raw bitumen is received through WOQOD Marine ships from Various Countries and using 8" piping through pipe rack and is pumped to 06nos of 2500m3 capacity storage tanks in the Bitumen plant All the bitumen & PMB tanks heated through Thermax system using thermic fluid The Electrical Heat Tracing System is designed to ensure that the Bitumen/PMB is always maintained in a fluidized state in the pipeline to enable smooth functioning of the entire plant And also, Bitumen is transported to customers via road tankers. Bitumen is transported at a high temperature of 140 C. Other Bitumen are modified into other product, Cutback (MC 70), Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB).

[Audio] The most significant hazard to workers who deal with hot bitumen is the potential to cause burns in case of splashes or spills. Bitumen is usually applied hot. Hot bitumen gives off emissions that can cause minor respiratory tract or eye irritation after prolonged, close exposure Considering the Bitumen facility activities, following nature of emergencies may occur: Major fire on Diesel & Kerosene tanks. Oil spillage with and without Fire Hot surfaces (e.g. heaters, Product pipelines) Hot Bitumen Over flow of bitumen Bitumen spillage/Foaming Vehicle movement. Rotating equipment Exposure to dust/ heat/ hot bitumen emissions Trip/ slip/ fall Natural calamity leading to disturbance of operation.

[Audio] In case of emergency action For the First Aid Bitumen burns should be cooled for at least 20 minutes, first with cool water to reduce pain, then with warm water to prevent hypothermia if the burned surface is larger than the size of a hand. Burns to the eyes should be irrigated for at least 5 minutes. Please follow the standard First Aid procedure and shall be implemented by the competent person only..

[Audio] For the Bitumen plant area A PPE matrix has been implemented; all persons shall follow it as per their roles and area of activities. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Matrix are posted in the premises in Various Location, and all WOQOD staff, contractors and visitors must comply by wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE) wherever applicable. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE),Applies to all WOQOD staff/ Visitors/ Contractor In addition to the PPE Matrix requirement, personnel shall comply with other PPEs that might be required by the permit to work and or job safety analysis..

[Audio] In case of any fire incident Try to Extinguish by using portable Fire Extinguisher If the fire is within control, attempt to extinguish, it with the appropriate fire extinguisher. Method of using your own fire extinguishers Stand back 6 to 8 feet from fire For portable fire extinguisher, the PASS procedure for the usage shall be followed. PASS is Pull the pin. Aim the fire base. Squeeze the lever Sweep from side to side.

[Audio] General Safety rules Which we follow in bitumen are as follows Photography without valid photographic permit not allowed Potential ignition sources like open flame, smoking, or use of non-intrinsically safe device are strictly prohibited in the Plant's Operations area Work with Valid work permit Follow the WOQOD approved PPE matrix Follow the WOQOD life saving rule Follow the Driving guideline Don't horseplay at work site Follow the emergency response plan procedure when required. Evacuate the area in case of hearing the emergency alarm proceed to AP. Do not the leave the vehicle unattended with engine on Driving and vehicle movement is a hazard, hence always observe the speed limit while driving within the Plant premises. Maintain good house keeping in the plant.

[Audio] In bitumen plant We have General driving rules The driver must follow the traffic warning and caution signs. The driver must follow the plant speed limit 15 Kilometer per hour The driver must follow correct traffic flow. Don't park or queue at non designated parking or queuing areas. Park only a proper designated area Smoking is prohibited at all times in vehicles. Reverse parking policy is strictly implemented in the Plant. Be extra cautious especially while reversing. Please follow the all standard safety precautions for the Safe driving.
