Scene 1 (0s)

[Audio] Axillary and Brachial Artery Hello Everyone , this is a presentation made by the members of table 1 on the topic , axillary and brachial artery. So, let's head straight into it.

Scene 2 (15s)

[Audio] Introduction The Axillary artery is a large blood vessel that conveys oxygenated blood to the lateral aspect of the thorax, the axilla and the upper limb. Its origin is at the lateral margin of the first rib, before which it is called the subclavian artery. After reaching the lower border of teres major muscle, it continues as Brachial artery Axillary artery originates from the outer border of first rib , before which is called as subclavian artery and extends till the lower border of teres major muscle.

Scene 3 (51s)

[Audio] Division Of Axillary Artery by Pectoralis Minor Pectoralis minor muscle divides axillary artery into 3 parts Proximal Deep Distal Here you can see how axillary artery is divided by pectoralis minor into 3 parts, proximal, deep and distal.

Scene 4 (1m 15s)

[Audio] 1st 2nd 3rd Relations Of Axillary Artery On basis of how the muscle divides the artery, this is the relations of artery and how it is placed between the cords of brachial plexus in the axilla.

Scene 5 (1m 33s)

[Audio] Branches of Axillary Artery Superior Thoracic artery Thoracoacromial artery (Acromial, Pectoral, Clavicular, Deltoid) Lateral Thoracic artery Subscapular Artery( Circumflex scapular artery, thoracodorsal artery) Anterior and Posterior Circumflex humeral artery Talking about branches of axillary artery, we've got superior thoracic artery, thoracoacromial artery, lateral thoracic artery , subscapular artery along with the anterior and posterior circumflex humeral arteries.

Scene 6 (2m 13s)

[Audio] Anastomoses around Scapula Anastomose around body Between 1st part of subclavian artery and 3rd part of axillary artery Anastomosis over acromion process Between 1st part of subclavian artery and 2nd +3rd part of axillary artery Coming to anastomoses around the scapula, we've got two different connections One is over the body by 1st part of subclavian artery and 2nd and 3rd part of axillary artery Other is over the acromion process by the 1st part of subclavian with 3rd part of axillary artery.

Scene 7 (2m 56s)

[Audio] Profunda Brachii Superior and Inferior ulnar collateral Radial and middle collateral Brachial Artery Branches Radial artery Ulnar artery Just below the lower border of teres major, axillary artery continues as brachial artery till the neck of the radius where it terminates as radial and ulnar arteries. Along its path, major branch is the profunda brachii artery along with other branches.

Scene 8 (3m 32s)

[Audio] Anastomoses around Elbow joint Superior ulnar collateral-posterior ulnar recurrent Inferior ulnar collateral-anterior ulnar recurrent Radial collateral- radial recurrent Middle collateral-interosseus recurrent Anastomoses around the elbow joint is mainly formed by the superior and inferior ulnar collateral arteries along with radial and middle collateral arteries with the branches of radial and ulnar arteries.

Scene 9 (4m 4s)

[Audio] Applied Anatomy Volkmann ischemic contracture Supracondylar fractures lead to damage to brachial artery and nerve malfunction Blood for blood gas analysis is collected from brachial artery The right axillary artery is often used as an arterial cannulation site in cardiac surgery, particularly for repair of aortic dissection and replacement of the ascending aorta and aortic arch. Examination of Blood Pressure Brachial pulsations are felt in cubital fossa Here are some of the applied aspects of brachial artery.

Scene 10 (4m 44s)

[Audio] Axillary Artery Grafting Grafting Brachial Artery Grafting Here are the images of how grafting is done with other veins.

Scene 11 (4m 57s)

[Audio] Photo Slide Axillary Artery Brachial Artery Pectoralis minor These are the photo slides depicting the various branches of axillary and brachial arteries.

Scene 12 (5m 14s)

[Audio] Superior Thoracic artery Thoracoacromial artery.

Scene 13 (5m 22s)

[Audio] Lateral Thoracic artery Posterior Circumflex humeral artery.

Scene 14 (5m 30s)

[Audio] Thoracodorsal artery Circumflex scapular artery.

Scene 15 (5m 38s)

[Audio] Brachial Artery Profunda Brachii artery. Brachial Artery.

Scene 16 (5m 46s)

[Audio] Radial Artery Ulnar Artery Terminating branches of Brachial artery.

Scene 17 (5m 55s)

[Audio] Thank you Hope you enjoyed the presentation, and Thank you for watching.
