[Audio] Police Honors- render personal honor to person with high rank position upon arrival or departure..
[Audio] Honors- ceremonies rendered to dignitary, police/military, and civilian of high rank or position, either a local or foreign individual, as a manifestation of special courtesy. Dais- an elevated platform where the honoree and police host stand to give them distinction and prominence. Honoree - a person entitled to Police Honors. A high ranking local/foreign military/police officers and civilian dignitaries as a gesture of courtesy and a tribute to his rank and/or position. Police Host- an officer designated to escort and receive the honoree..
[Audio] Gun Salute is a volley of fire rendered as part of the Police Honors in specific instances. Ex: artillery/riffle Salute Battery - refers to the set of guns being used to render gun salute in a designated saluting station. Saluting Station refers to camps, posts, national shrines, and other designated places where firing of guns may be rendered..
[Audio] Honor Guard Formation- consists of band, colors, salute battery (if required), and a contingent of honor guards tasked to render personal honors to person/s entitled upon arrival/departure to/from a police camp saluting station. [Audio] Types of Police Honors 1. Personal Honors- is a type of Police Honors customarily and traditionally rendered by police uniformed personnel. NOTE: The manner of rendering shall depend on Stature, Rank, and Position of the honoree..
[Audio] a.1 Arrival/Departure Honors- it is accorded to an individual or group entitled to such honors. In case a group will be accorded honors, the most senior individual among them will act as the lead honoree. a.1.a. Full Honors- it is composed of ceremonial band, colors, contingent of honor guards, and a salute battery (when required, available and appropriate). The minimum size of the honor guard company shall consist of two platoons with two squads of eight personnel each squad plus a platoon guide, while the honor guard battalion shall consist of two companies of two platoons each..

Arrival and Departure Honors (Individual) Commands without Saber Emcee will read the pre-arrival narration of the significance/theme of the event/activity (to be read at least 10 minutes before the GOHS party enters the police camp or venue). Initially the HGB is at parade rest. As soon as the vehicle of the GOH approaches, the Honor Guard Commander (HGC) commands "TALUPAN, HUMAN-DA". The HGB and the parading elements come to attention. As GOHS steps down from his/her vehicle, the emcee announces "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, ANNOUNCING THE ARRIVAL OF (the name of the GOH and the designation.)" Designated Police Host welcomes and escorts the GOH to the dais in front of the HGB. As soon as the GOHS steps on the dais, Honor Guard Commander (HGC) executes about face and commands, "Tanghal, TA." He faces about and executes hand salute together with his staff. GOH and Police Host execute hand salute. The band plays four ruffles and flourishes, followed by appropriate music, according to the designation of the GOH. Six (6) paces before the colors, the HGC cautions the GOH, "PINUNO, ANG MGA WATAWAT, Pugay Kamay, NA." The HGC, honoree and host execute hand salute. Three (3) steps after the colors, the HGC commands "Handa HARAP" The HGC, honoree and host drop their hand salute. They continue marching up to the last element of the honor guard where the HGC peels off and proceeds to his position in front of his staff. The host switches his position to the left of the honoree as they march directly to their original positions at the dais. The HGC faces about and commands "Tanghal, TA." Then, he faces about and executes hand salute together with his staff. GOH acknowledges the salute. HGC faces about and commands "Baba, TA." The HGC faces about and salutes the GOH saying, "TAPOS NA PO ANG PARANGAL." GOH acknowledges the salute and says, "MANGYARING LU-MAPIT KA." HGC approaches GOH and salutes. GOH acknowledges the salute and shakes hands with HGC. Then, HGC executes about face and returns to his original position. The honoree acknowledges the salute, steps down from the dais with the host.
