[Audio] I am currently working as Product Owner with Master card on their real time payment product called IPS. My key skills are Product Lifecycle Management, Building product strategy and roadmap, product ownership, market and competitive analysis, SWOT analysis, MVP Creation, Backlog Management, Requirement Approval and Prioritization. On academic side, I am Masters in software engineering from India. I have acquired the mentioned certification related to product management, product owner, scrum master and business analysis. In my tenure with EPAM, I successfully completed the certification for technical interviewer with more than 30 technical interviews conducted till date. I also possess MAMBU sales and solution architect accreditation which is critical for EPAMs partnership with MAMBU..

Scene 4 (1m 4s)

[Audio] Regarding work experience, I started my IT career as Software Engineer with Patni Computer systems in 2006. In 2009, I started to work with a product based company R systems and gradually moved myself to business analysis track. I gained a good exposure to all the activities related to business analysis and then moved on to work with Xoriant Solutions in 2013 where I was key product team member in designing the FX Trade engine for a multinational bank. After gaining a substantial experience in Finance domain and product management activities, I joined a fintech Fiserv as a Product Manager. Fiserv gave me an opportunity to work on leading edge fraud and payment related products. In 2022 I then relocated to Poland to work with EPAM as senior business analyst..

Scene 5 (2m 4s)

[Audio] During my tenure with Fiserv, FraudDetect is one of the key product that I was associated with as a Product Manager. When we collected the feedbacks and interviewed multiple banks, we realized that they are struggling to detect the fraud across all banking channels and they need a single solution to detect all types of modern age sophisticated fraud. Also there are constant complaints from their retail customers about the password management policies which were giving bad user experience. As a result, banks used to face the dissatisfied customers and heavy penalties from regulators. Fraud Detect From Fiserv, helped banking customers to have Consistent login mechanism across all channels. This was achieved with the help of QR Code. Fraud Detect also helps banks to transmit the fraud information from one channel to another with machine learning based rule engine. With respect to my roles, I was Involved end to end from, Product Discovery, Idea Validation, Creation of MVPs, Testing hypothesis and building the product to launch for US based financial Institutions. I Created the Lean Proposition Canvas for banks and end customers. I Lead Product Discovery and Lean Start up efforts I Created Annual Operational Plan, Product roadmaps and release timelines according to time to market. I was Involved in creating the metrics to measure the product success..

Scene 6 (3m 47s)

[Audio] In order to understand the problems that banks are facing, I conducted a rigorous market analysis with consultancy firm called Gartner. I also conducted multiple workshops with Vice Presidents from Fraud Managment departments within the banks. From this exercise, I got key data insights into the losses that the banks are incurring due to omni channel fraud. We also got an insight of % of customers impacted year on year..

Scene 7 (4m 17s)

[Audio] During the product discovery phase, I was also involved into doing the competitive analysis with other fintech companies working in the same sector. As a result, I came with this product capability matrix. This helped me to come up with unique value proposition to support my ideation efforts..

Scene 8 (4m 38s)

[Audio] One of the key factor to achieve the success was to study the existing offerings within Fiserv and how we can leverage the same to achieve time to market. For this I interacted with heads of multiple line of businesses across the Fiserv I then came up with gap analysis indicating what resources we have and what we need to hire more in order to achieve success on time..

Scene 9 (5m 7s)

[Audio] As a result of my ideation efforts, I created this lean Canvas model describing the various key aspects including Problem, Solution, Unique Value Proposition, Key Metrics that are measured etc..

Scene 10 (5m 21s)

[Audio] Here is the summary of my contribution to the FraudDetect product. As mentioned, I am involved in all key stages of the product lifecycle including ideation, discovery, Analysis, hypothesis creation and validation and rolling out the full scale development of the product..

Scene 11 (5m 42s)

[Audio] Bill Matrix was another key Business to Consumer product that I worked in the capacity of product manager. The Legacy version of this product was targeting only to a consumer segment which was underbanked and used to deal in cash for their daily needs. In order to remain competitive with leading edge digital transformation, Fiserv decided to upgrade this product and offer the digital payment solutions to the existing merchants. As a part of roles and responsibilities, I was Involved in doing market Analysis and Competitive Analysis of fintechs working in the same sectors. I lead the end to end ideation and lean start up efforts including, Customer Discovery interviews, User personas creation, Creation of MVP and hypothesis testing to validate our unique product offerings. I was Involved in creating the product Strategy and roadmap in order to roll out of new features. I worked with Professional Services team to gather data insights and derive KPIs.

Scene 12 (6m 50s)

[Audio] As a part of market analysis, I gathered key data about existing customers and figured out that 60% of them are using the BillMatrix for Utility Bill Payments. With exploratory interviews, I understand the main problem that merchants have is inability to allow their consumers to split the payments and avail a micro credit in order to save themselves for defaulting the payment..

Scene 13 (7m 20s)

[Audio] These exploratory interviews helped me, To identify the customer segments we need to target first which were tech savvy millennials to create the user personas for that particular user segment To derive what are the Jobs To Be Done for the customer segment..

Scene 14 (7m 42s)

[Audio] Here is the capability matrix that I generated after I did the competitive analysis. From this and the exploratory interviews conducted in previous steps, I could infer that along with the digital transformation, we can upscale the product to offer "Split Payments" and "Buy Now Pay Later" capabilities. These features were niche that time and positioned Fiserv as a pioneer in offering these in US Market..

Scene 15 (8m 13s)

[Audio] To define the success of this product, these are the metrics that were captured by Professional Services Team. Some of these metrics are calculated based upon the data captured by product itself. For example, metrics about the user session, number of active users etc. Whereas some are calculated based upon the actual user feedback survey conducted on application itself for example, Customer Satisfaction Score and Net Promotor Score..

Scene 16 (8m 45s)

[Audio] This is the summary of my contribution to the bill payment product. As mentioned, I am involved in all key stages of the product lifecycle including ideation, discovery, Analysis, hypothesis creation and validation and rolling out the full scale development of the product..

Scene 17 (9m 4s)

[Audio] Lastly, this is the overview of my contribution during my tenure with EPAM. In EPAM, I am working as a product owner with mastercard helping them to build the real time payment product for the Nordic region. My main responsibilities include, Collaborating with customers and product management group to document the epics and building the product backlog Directly managing the 7 development teams to refine, prioritize and deliver the product backlog. Creating the release roadmap by partnering with customers, scheme operators and 3rd party vendors. Coming with product roadmap and planning the deliveries in order to meet the customer's milestones. Reporting to the project milestones to the customers, member banks and executive leadership in mastercard..

Scene 18 (10m 3s)

[Audio] Here is one of the sample product roadmap that was created by me recently..

[Audio] Before I conclude, I would like to mention that I have a good hands on experience on various product management activities that can be readily leveraged by EPAM and its clients. Based on in depth experience in banking domain, I can actively play a critical role in Product Management activities in some of the EPAM's strategic initiatives like Nou Bank Accelerator, Strip and Mambu partnership.. I would like to leverage my product expertise in conducting multiple activities like, Helping the Product Community grow in epam Poland Hiring the appropriate talent in the Product management community Helping aspiring product managers by guiding the steps they need to take, to be successful..
