SSU faculty and students are privileged to attend training and conferences abroad based on invitations from SSU's partner universities and organizations. Most training and conferences are hosted and organized by AUAP for its members or from its partner universities.

Mangaring, Dean of the College of Engineering, participated in the 2024 Global Industry-Academic Forum hosted by Vision College of Jeonju, South Korea. This four-day event, held from January 23-26, 2024, aimed to enhance cooperation between industries and academia, with a specific focus on fostering international exchange programs centered on innovations in new and renewable energy..

[Audio] In 2019, seven faculty members participated in a training course on water resources and coastal engineering at top universities in Europe, namely: Dr. Felisa Gomba, Dr. Ronald Orale, Dr. Elmer Irene, all Graduate School faculty members, and Engineer Lady Ann Fabillar, Engineer Wella Yangzon, Engineer Hebe Cuenco and Engineer Aprille Ellen Kibada, from the College of Engineering. It is a fully-funded activity by CHED for the offering of Water resources and coastal engineering program in the College of Engineering. [Audio] In September 2019, Dr. Redentor Palencia, Executive Assistant, and Engineer Meddy Manggaring, Dean of the College of Engineering, participated in the Leadership Development 5.0 for Educators – From Theory to Practice workshop at Siam University in Bangkok, Thailand. Held on September 4 and 5, the event focused on bridging leadership theory with practical application.
