Welcome. yen. TO OUR PRESENTATION ON. DIGNITY OF LABOUR.
Acknowledgment. We would like to express our special thanks of gratitude to our teacher who gave us the golden opportunity to participate in this wonderful project on the topic “Dignity of Labour” , which also helped us in doing a lot of research work about the life and the problem, faced by the people who serve us..
Why Do We Celebrate Labour’s Day. Labor's Day also referred as May Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers and is traditionally observed on the first Monday in September. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894..
Labour. By labour we generally mean manual work. Normally manual labour in our country is looked down upon and the manual worker treated as an inferior being. Through value education we can tell children that instead of being stranded for want of someone else doing our work is wrong. We should do our own work ourselves as no work is small or big.
Equality of Labour. Hundreds of millions of people suffer from discrimination in the world of work. This not only violates a most basic human right, but has wider social and economic consequences. Discrimination stifles opportunities, wasting the human talent needed for economic progress, and accentuates social tensions and inequalities. Combating discrimination is an essential part of promoting decent work, and success on this front is felt well beyond the workplace..
