Scene 2 (10s)

Introduction. The overall purpose of this project is to concentrate the use of simulation in analysing and constructing a virtual model of a wheelchair based on human factor as well as to ease the nurses’ job. A smart wheelchair is a mechanically operated device built to be self-mobile with the aid of user command..

Wheelchair 2d working model. . Wheelchair design using 2D Working Model. By using this working model, we can see the movement of the wheelchair and observe whether it will work or fail. The rods in the working models are connected using ‘pin-joint’ and ‘rigid-joint.’ Then, the motor is placed on the back wheels to move and spin. The view of the working model is in the 2D side view shown..

2d Working Model path. In real-life situations, the wheelchair will move indoors and outdoor. Usually, the condition for indoor roads will be smooth; however, outdoor it will have uneven roads and hilly roads. So we design the road in multiple situations and test the wheelchair on those roads. The speed of the wheelchair must be suitable to avoid any accident occur.

Conclusion. Finally, the result of conducting the 2D working model test is successfully achieved. The wheelchair can move in both indoor and outdoor conditions without falling apart. In conclusion, the wheelchair will help not only the patients but aid nurses as it will reduce their workload.
