[Audio] As a member of the PAF, I am obligated to maintain the AFP Code of Ethics 2004. This Code establishes the standard of conduct, honesty, integrity and mutual respect that must be followed. In order to ensure compliance with this standard, the PAFNCOS Code of Ethics Handout outlines the behaviour and practices expected of all PAF members. The Code of Conduct & Ethical Standards provides guidelines for professional and respectful conduct, ensuring that the highest standards of integrity are upheld..

[Audio] It is essential to practice the AFP Code of Ethics in order to maintain a professional organization and demonstrate our commitment to high moral and ethical standards. The AFP Code of Ethics is the foundation of the organization and needs to be observed by everyone..

[Audio] The slide discussed provides an outline of the AFP Code of Ethics, including its definition of terms, preamble and five articles: identity, history, creed, membership, and military professionalism. These articles establish the parameters that AFP personnel should abide by in both their personal and professional activities..

[Audio] A Code of Ethics relevant to us is a combination of moral, ethical and legal principles that control the behavior of professionals. It protects our beliefs, establishes what is expected of us and offers guidance when we make decisions. This code of ethics outlines what is required of each of us and aids us in dealing with the professional challenges of our day-to-day operations..

[Audio] We are members of the AFP, bound by a shared code of ethics stemming from our preamble, which calls for enlightenment from Almighty God. Our identity as a professional organization grants us trust and respect from the public. Our constitutional mandate is to protect the people, preserve the sovereignty of the state, defend our democratic institutions, and uphold the integrity of the national territory. This code of ethics unites us and serves as guidance in how we behave and act as an organization..

[Audio] We must adhere to the AFP Code of Ethics, making sure to display commitment, adhering to standards and metrics in all activities. We must respect and abide by the constitutional mandate of the Philippine Constitution, which is the embodiment of the wishes of our people, and be an integral part of the executive branch of the government..

[Audio] The AFP has a long and storied history. We have weathered many storms and faced many struggles, yet we remain steadfast and committed to the cause of freedom and justice. In addition to our triumphs, we have also endured some dark pages in our history, and we have learned valuable lessons from them. These important lessons have provided us with a historical perspective on the challenges we have faced, and those we face today. Graft and corruption, martial law, and unsuccessful coup attempts are all examples of our struggles. By no means are we defined by our struggles, but rather, they are an example of our strength in the face of adversity..

[Audio] As part of our AFP Code of Ethics, we are guided by a set of core values. Section I of our Creed and Stand is focused on honor, loyalty and valor. When it comes to honor, we strive for the highest levels of integrity in all that we do. When it comes to loyalty, we recognize this as one of our most important values. We are obligated to be loyal to our nation and adhere to the orders of our mandate. To valor, we believe in the power of strength, courage and the ability to overcome fear. Lastly, when it comes to duty, we devote ourselves to a disciplined performance despite difficulty and danger. Our oath of office requires us to recognize that duty is more precious than life itself..

[Audio] As members of AFP, upholding our code of ethics is of utmost importance. Our dedication to honor and service is the corner stone of our mission and pledge to our homeland. Honor is not simply recognizing our own value, but recognizing how to use it to better benefit our environment and nation. Service is not simply following directions, but dedicating our loyalty to the Constitution and acting selflessly in response to the requirements of our country..

To build a robust and cooperative network of members, we must abide by the AFP Code of Ethics and cultivate an atmosphere of esteem and assurance among colleagues. Our prime duty is to serve our nation, and thus, we must continually strive for professional excellence. This is attained through the skillful use of our expertise based on established knowledge of the relevant laws and ethics code. We must continually work to fulfill our missions to the highest level of excellence..

We are devoted to serving the public and the collective welfare, and acknowledge our role in maintaining the highest normative and moral principles. Sticking to these values is significant in preserving the prestige of the Air Force and doing our sworn job to protect and serve our country..

[Audio] We, as members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, have to fulfill a set of professional standards. Loyalty to the Philippine Constitution, the AFP, and the people is our utmost priority. Equally important are competence, which involves knowledge, skills, physical attributes, and character traits, and ethics, meaning observing accepted principles of right conduct. All these three standards are essential in order for us to achieve a higher level of professionalism..

[Audio] Section IV of the AFP Code of Ethics stipulates a range of unprofessional acts such as acts of disloyalty, incompetence, unethical practices, and behaviors that do not meet the professional standard. Furthermore, this code outlines acts or omissions that go against one's faith, duty, allegiance to God, country, and people, as well as the lack of required knowledge, skills, physical attributes, and character. Additionally, these guidelines outline acts or omissions which are against established and accepted ethical and moral standards of behavior and performance..
