Academic Responsibilities. Assist the Grade Coordinator in Curriculum planning (Year plans, Term plans, etc.)and implementation Conduct fortnightly Curriculum Workshops in the subject of expertise Guide subject teachers in the development of Lesson Plans Check and approve Lesson Plans and submit it to the grade Coordinator for approval Guide , supervise and approve the blueprints, question papers and answer keys set in the subject of expertise Collate curriculum feedback related to the subject of expertise.

Maintaining records related to the subject expertise Planning and conducting external/internal exams Planning events related to the subject of expertise (Fieldtrips, culminating activities etc..) Drafting circulars related to the subject of expertise Conducting and supervising board related to examinations.

Effectively monitor and correct books ,assessments ,answer sheets and project work related to the subject of expertise in a timely manner.

Lesson Delivery Responsibilities. Be prepared with each Lesson Plan by thoroughly reading it and attending the Curriculum Workshops Be aware of the objectives in the Lesson Plan Teach as per instructions given in the Lesson Plan and use various teaching aids, resources, activities and assignments listed in the Lesson Plan Integrate information from other areas within and outside the Lesson Plan and give relevant examples, metaphors and analogies Put up displays in the classroom Use effective voice intonation and correct and appropriate language and grammar to communicate and instruct students Maintain eye contact, move around the class with ease and interact with the students.

Fill the Academic Planner (document that ensures comprehensive recording of the planning and implementation dates of the curriculum, along with relevant details) regularly, facilitating replacement of multiple records into one single record With respect to the Academic Planner : Ensure entries are made daily of the Teacher Execution Date, as the system auto generates the backlog/future report in real time Enter precise remarks and provide clarity with regards to the deviations in the implementation schedule, if any Delete the name of a teacher if he/she resigns and replace it with that of the new teacher Ensure that the Remark section mentions if classes are swapped with other subject teachers (same guideline applies for proxy class periods).

Ensure that the student growth and achievement is continuous and age appropriate with active engagement in the learning process Be approachable, impartial and treat students with dignity and respect Inculcate discipline in and out of the classroom Adhere to appropriate and effective measures and implement the policy of issuing Yellow, Orange and Red slips to ensure discipline Adapt the teaching methods to the needs of all students with a concern for their interests, handicaps, special talents, individual styles and pace of learning Assist students in improving study habits.

Monitor student progress constantly and adjust the pace of work accordingly Correct class work, reinforcement work and Assessment Papers and provide constructive feedback to the student Involve all students in the learning process and provide opportunities for all students to experience success Supervise students at lunch and arrival and dispersal points Monitor basic hygiene regularly Be aware of the health history and proactively attend to health matters of each student.

Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students Ensure that the displays and bulletin boards are thorough, functional and attractive Update the respective Grade Coordinator about any significant episode or incident related to the classroom (e.g. Student illness, long absenteeism without intimation, etc.) Conduct evaluation procedures needed to assess the developmental levels of the students Write appropriate remarks in the Student Handbook and ensure that parents acknowledge them.

Understand the plan from the Main Teacher and assist him/her in implementing it for the day Arrange the equipment and organise the essential resources at the start of a lesson Assist the Main Teacher in providing individual attention during Support Programmes Observe students’ performance and provide the teacher with valuable inputs regarding obstacles to learning encountered by students, and the effectiveness of classroom processes Prepare and receive reinforcement files.

Assist and engage students at snack/lunch time Share bus and field duties with the Main Teacher Assist the children in the Library and Sick Bay Accompany the students and supervise SPA activities Assist the SPA coaches in taking attendance, maintaining discipline and ensuring active participation of the students in the SPA activities Supervise students in the school premises at all times Identify students with special needs and communicate the same to the Main Teacher.

Attend all staff meetings and participate in the recommended training programmes, courses and other aspects of professional growth Conduct stock-taking of teaching aids on a monthly basis along with the Main Teacher Be responsible for effective coordination within departments to conduct day to day operations Maintain a professional attitude and attire at all times Participate in organising and implementing the Special Events of the school Participate in all Field Trips and supervise Assemblies Assist in public relations/other Special Events sponsored by the school.

Independently initiating instructions and Lesson Plans Independently assigning grades to students Assuming full responsibility for supervising Assemblies or Field trips Assume full responsibility for supervising and planning activities Taking children to a clinic, keeping dental or medical appointments, unless permission is granted by the Main Teacher/ authorised personnel Prescribing any educational activities and materials for children Regulating student behavior through punishment/similar means.
