Additionally, you will need to determine if the veteran is requesting new glasses, and if they are eligible for new glasses. It is important to understand that you are not discussing with the veteran weather or not they will be getting glasses at their exam today, but you be gathering 2 pieces of information… 1. Are they requesting new glasses… and 2. Do they meet eligibility criteria for spectacle coverage through their VA benefit..
