FICCI Food Processing Division. FICCI Food Processing Division plays a key role in dealing with policy issues to get an audience with the government and make the industry’s voice heard. It has been working very closely with industry captains for the growth and business sustainability of the food industry. Its objective is to provide a platform to the industry captains for the discussion on the key policy issues pertaining to the sector and chalking down the roadmap for the growth of the sector. The committee work is being led by following key industry & expert leaders from the sector:.

The majority of the members of the committee are CEOs of large Food Processing Companies. FICCI Food processing committee meetings are being organized with the objective to provide a platform to the industry captains for the discussion on the key policy issues pertaining to the sector and chalking down the roadmap for the growth of the sector..

Confederation of Indian Food Trade and Industry (CIFTI) is the Apex body representing Indian Food Trade & Industry. It was established by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry in 1985 to cater specifically to the need of the Food Industry and Trade and thereby addressing the issues and concerns of the food industry at various forums. Since its inception, CIFTI-FICCI has been continuously serving its members through an entire gamut of activities pertaining to the food industry, requirements thereof, quality concerns, food laws, etc. to facilitate and streamline the processed food industry. CIFTI-FICCI not only provides institutional support at the national level but also plays a pivotal role in partnering with the Government and the private sector in promoting the development of food processing on the global platform. CIFTI-FICCI’s skills and expertise in providing information services by virtue of being the knowledge hub for the food processing industry are unmatched. CIFTI-FICCI has an Executive committee that is comprised of senior officials from the Industry..

FICCI Codex Cell. FICCI CODEX Cell was established in 2004 under the aegis of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, to provide a platform for Indian Food Processing industries to meet, share, discuss and get engaged in Codex activities which will in turn assist the National Codex Contact Point at Codex Alimentarius Committee. Since its inception, it is actively contributing to the national agenda. This cell is a culmination of the tremendous amount of inputs, time and resources pooled. It has taken a drive to cultivate knowledge about Codex Alimentarius Commission within Businesses and Food Business Operators. FICCI Centre of Nutritional Excellence (FCNE). The Centre was unveiled by Mr. Aggarwal, Former CEO, of FSSAI during the last edition of FICCI FOOD WORLD India in Mumbai. This excellence centre was incepted with the intend to review the agenda of nutrition in India and to work towards creating awareness among the stakeholders on the different key aspects of nutrition, fortification, reformulation, etc. Recently under FCNE we have launched a webinar series on “ Future of Nutrition: Exploring the Health and Wellness benefits in the Food Ingredients ecosystem”.

Dubai Expo. The theme during the period of 17 th February to 02 nd March 2022 was designated as the Food, Agriculture, and Livelihood . Hence, the Government of India underwent joint participation of 4 ministries including the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, the Ministry of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry, and the Ministry of Cooperation during the period of 2 weeks. Following the ‘Millets’ theme during the first 3 days of the event, the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, the Government of India continued its participation in the other key themes including ‘ Organic & Horticulture ’ and ‘ Technology & Start-ups ’ during 20 th to 23 rd February 2022. In these 2 themes, the delegation was led by Mr. P.K. Swain, Additional Secretary, Mr. Priya Ranjan , Joint Secretary (INM), Ms. Chhavi Jha , Joint Secretary (RKVY, Start-ups) and Mr. V.N. Kale, Additional Commissioner. India is one of the largest producers in the world of organic and horticulture products in India, the program was commenced with a seminar showcasing the strengths of India in the sector. The O&H theme program took place during the 20 th to 21 st of February 2022, whereas the program for Technology and Start-ups took place during the 22 nd to 23 rd of February 2022..
