[Audio] Hello everyone! I'd like to talk to you about Digitalis purpurea, commonly known as Foxglove. This plant belongs to the family Plantaginaceae/Schropulraceae and has a variety of medicinal effects, such as relief of congestive heart failure and atrial arrhythmias, along with a diuretic effect. Foxglove can be identified through the Baljet, Legal, and Keller-Killani tests and can be identified by adulterants such as Mullen leaves, Primrose leaves, and Comfrey leaves. Primary glycosides of Foxglove are Purpurea glycoside A, Purpurea glycoside B, and Glucogitaloxin, and secondary glycosides include Digitoxin, Gitoxin, and Gitaloxin. Thank you for your time and I look forward to any questions you may have..
