The Haudenosaunee, also known as the Iroquois Confederacy or the Six Nations, are the authors of the development of mythology to which we are alluding. Indigenous pupils are classified as the Haudenosaunee are mostly found in the northeastern United States and towards the southeast Canada. a customs they follow are fundamentally based on the creation narrative, which is transmitted orally. The Haudenosaunee mythology of creation states that water once blanketed the planet. Through a gap in the sky realm, Sky Woman, also known as  Ataensic  or  Awehai , plummeted to earth. She was carried on the back of a massive turtle known as Turtle Island or Earth Grasper by animals and birds that flocked to assist her. Sky Woman scattered the soil brought up by the many aquatic creatures on the turtle's back to make land. The powers of good and evil were then personified by Sky Woman's twin sons, who were born. Sapling and Flint are the first names of the siblings. Flint stood for confusion and devastation, whereas Sapling  symbolised  all that was goodness that created peace. The two brothers fought for the remainder of their lives, with Flint wreaking destruction and Sapling trying to bring everything back into balance.

The primary characters' identities and functions are as follows: Sky Woman Sky Woman is the primary protagonist in the development stories ( Ataensic / Awehai ). She landed on the back of a huge turtle after falling from the upper globe. She gave birth to humanity and created the land as the mother of the identical twins Sapling and Flint. The Sky People dwelt in Sky World, a heavenly world, in the beginning. Although Sky World was a lovely location, it quickly grew packed and hectic. Sky Woman, also known as  Ataensic , got pregnant and gave birth to twins. The Sky World Chief gave the order to send the lady through a hole in the sky because he was worried about the congestion and the chance that the birth of the twins might spark more commotion. When Sky Woman fell through the gap, she was submerged in water. Many creatures spotted her and sought to assist her, including aquatic fowl. They plunged beneath the surface of the water and pulled up dirt, which they then deposited on the back of a large turtle. The Earth was created as the mud expanded. The seeds that Sky Woman carried from Sky World also developed into plants, trees, and other kinds of life.

The twin sons of Sky Woman went on to play significant roles in Haudenosaunee history as adults. Sapling, one of the boys, was naughty and restless. He frequently caused problems, and one day he uprooted the Great Tree that stabilised the Earth. The lives of both people and animals were in risk since this caused a significant flood. To rescue the Earth, the animals cooperated. To return the Great Tree to its original location, the birds flew high into the sky. Life continued to flourish as the Earth became stable. Animals play important roles and represent different characteristics in this creation story.  The earth was in complete darkness and only animals that could survive in water were present.  The animals that appear in the story are Turtle, muskrats, beavers, four-legged animals and loons.
