Jesus says there: "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and does them, I will compare him to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain descended and the floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house, it did not fall; for it was founded on the rock." With these words, Jesus describes a wise person. This person puts the words of God into practice in everyday life. As a result, he has a stable foundation that carries him through times of crisis. Afterwards, Jesus says: "And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain descended and the floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it fell, and its fall was great." When I hear these words, I often think of my late father-in-law. He lived without God and was satisfied with that for a long time. Later, however, he became ill and had financial problems. He also experienced people separating from him. A just environment, personal success, and prestige were also important to me. Later, I built a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Although I placed this relationship at the center of my life, it was only one pillar among many others at that time. This relationship with God was not yet the solid foundation of my life at this point..

[Audio] I made the decision to follow Jesus late in my life. Previously, I was an atheist. I was firmly convinced that there could be no God. It took many years before I realized that there is very likely a supernatural power. I eventually began to believe in a Creator of the universe. After examining many different religions, I decided on Jesus Christ. In Jesus, I found the greatest love. At the age of 30, I was baptized. I wanted to follow Jesus, no matter what would happen in the future. This attitude corresponds to the stance of the Apostle Peter. Peter said to Jesus: "Even if I have to die with you, I will not deny you! And so said all the disciples.".
